On October 14, 2014 inauguration of the exhibition of Armenian publishing houses took place in Beirut, in the Pyunik hall of the ,,Azdak daily,, The function was organized upon the initiative of the “Vahe Setian” printing house of ,,Hamazkayin,, and under the auspices of Armenian Embassy in Lebanon. The exhibition is organized in Lebanon for the 2nd time. Armenian publishing houses of Lebanon also participate in the event with their collections.

Director of modern art department of the Ministry of Culture of Armenia Seiranuhi Geghamian, president of the National union of Armenian publishers and director of the “Edit Print” publishing  house Mkrtich Karapetian, as well as director of the Hamazkayin “Vahe Setian” printing house Hakob Havatian delivered their opening remarks.

In his speech Ambassador of Armenia to Lebanon Ashot Kocharian highly appreciated efforts of the “Vahe Setian” printing house for organization of the event, expressed his gratitude to the Yerevan State University department of printing and the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute for participation in the exhibition. He emphasized that Armenian language is an absolute value and  powerful weapon of Armenian nation and expressed his hope that the initiative will have a positive impact on book publishing industry, will bring together professionals, will ensure continuity of partnership between Armenia and Diaspora and will raise and deepen love towards reading among children and youth.

The delegation which is composed of the directors of “Zangak”, “Print Info Sargis Khachents”, “Bookinist” publishing houses, and the deputy director of “Khnko Aper” library, during its stay in Lebanon paid visits to Armenian educational institutions and met with directors of colleges and intellectuals.
