Meeting of the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Lebanon Ashot Kocharian with the MEA Airlines General Manager Mohammad Al-Hut

On July 12, 2013 the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Lebanon Ashot Kocharian met with the General Manager of the MEA Airlines Mohammad Al Hut. The interlocutors summarized the results of the visit of the Lebanese delegation which arrived on July 5, 2013 with the MEA Airlines inaugural flight to Yerevan. Mr. Al Hut expressed his gratitude to the Armenian side for the hospitality, as well as for the organization of official meetings and cultural program. Both sides experessed confidence that the operation of flights twice a week will contribute to the development of tourism, trade relations, as well as the intensification of mutual visits of the representatives of the business circles.

The MEA Airlines Beirut-Yerevan inaugural flight took place on July 5, 2013. The Lebanese delegation consisted of the Minister of Industry of Lebanon Vrej Sabounjian, Members of the Parliament of Lebanon Artur Nazarian, Jan Oghasapian and Sepuh Kalpakian, the Chairman of the Association of Banks of Lebanon Joseph Torbey, Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank Harutyun Samvelyan, Head of the Security Service of the Beirut International Airport General Jan Taluzian, the President of Franchising Association Charles Arbid, officials from MEA Airlines headed by the General Manager Mohammad Al Hut, businessmen were received by the Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, Minister of Economy Vahram Avanesyan, as well as the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Martin Sargsyan. In the Chamber of Commerce the Memorandum of Understanding between the Chambers of Commerce of two countries was signed. After the ceremony of signing, press conference was held. The delegation attended also the official reception organized by the Embassy of Lebanon in Armenia, got acquainted with the picturesque places of Armenia Sevan and Dilijan.
