Ambassador Kocharian’s meetings with the Lebanese President and the Minister of Foreign Affairs

On May 7 an 10 Ambassador of Armenia to Lebanon Ashot Kocharian met with the Lebanese President, General Michele Sleiman and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Adnan Mansour.

Issues relating to bilateral relations have been discussed. The parties emphasized high level of existing political relations, necessity of maintaining continuity of exchanges of high-level delegations, intensification of trade and commerce relations, organization of business meetings, close co-operation and mutual support in international organizations.

Ambassador Kocharian presented details on celebrations held in Armenia on April 22-24, 2012 which were dedicated to the 500^th anniversary of Armenian printing and ceremony of handing over the title of the World Book Capital 2012 to Yerevan by Buenos Aires. Importance of participation in the events of Lebanese delegations headed by the Minister of Culture Gaby Layoun and Mayor of Beirut Bilal Hammad was stressed.

Issues of international and regional agenda also had been discussed. In this context Ambassador Kocharian presented preliminary results of parliamentary elections held in Armenia as well as most recent developments of the process of settlement of the NK conflict.
