Meeting of Ambassador Samvel Mkrtchian with Minister of Culture of Lebanon Ghattas Khoury

On January 27, 2017 Ambassador of Armenia to Lebanon Mr. Samvel Mkrtchian met with Minister of Culture of Lebanon Mr. Ghattas Khoury.
In the course of the meeting perspectives and issues on the current agenda of cultural cooperation between Armenia and Lebanon were discussed. Ongoing productive collaboration between the two sides, as well as importance to give periodic character to the events aimed at raising awareness of the wide public in Lebanon on Armenian culture were emphasized.
Ambassador briefed the Minister on preparatory works undertaken for the Summit of Francophonie to be held in Yerevan in 2018. Afterwards, Ambassador Mkrtchian referred to the events initiated by the Embassy and supported by “Hamazgayin” and “AGBU” to be held in March 2017 in the framework of “Month of Francophonie” in Lebanon.
Minister Khoury welcomed the planned contribution of Armenian side to the events of the “Month of Francophonie” and expressed his willingness to have them under his patronage.
