Ambassador Samvel Mkrtchian met with Minister of Education and Higher Education of Lebanon Elias Bou Saab

On October 18, 2016 Ambassador Samvel Mkrtchian met with Minister of Education and Higher Education of Lebanon Elias Bou Saab. The two sides discussed the efforts to be undertaken for activating cooperation in educational sphere, giving special emphasis to necessity of practical steps for implementation of signed agreements. In this context an agreement to hold periodic meetings and targeted discussions was reached on to foster bilateral cooperation in educational field.
In the course of conversation both sides reflected on existing friendly relations between the two countries and constructive role of dynamic Lebanese Armenian community, which is apparent in all spheres of the country.
Minister recollected his visit to Armenia in 2015 as part of the official Lebanese delegation to commemorate the Centenary of the Armenian Genocide.
During the meeting internal political situation of Lebanon also was touched upon.
