Meeting with Armenian peacekeepers

On December 30, 2014 Ambassador of Armenia to Lebanon Ashot Kocharian visited Armenian peacekeepers who have been participating in UNIFIL peacekeeping mission since November 2014 under the Italian force command.

After an official ceremony the Ambassador was welcomed by the commander of Pinerolo Infantry Brigade, Brigadier General of Italian Army Stephan Del Col. After the meeting and the hosted by the Brigadier General Ambassador Kocharian signed in the book of honorary guests and conveyed his gratitude for warm reception. He expressed his hope that Armenian peacekeepers who joined UNIFIL family will bring their important contribution to strengthening of peace in friendly Lebanon.

During the meeting with the Armenian peacekeepers Ambassador Kocharian presented some details about internal political life of Lebanon, Lebanese Armenian community and Lebanese-Armenian bilateral friendly relations. Ambassador congratulated peacekeepers for launching a very important mission within UNIFIL. Then he extended his warm greetings and wishes on the occasion of the upcoming New Year and Christmas and wished them peaceful service, success and all the best.
