Ambassador Kocharian met with the Patriarch Bechara Rahi

On December 9, 2014 Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia H.E. Mr. Ashot Kocharian was received by Maronite Patriarch His Beatitude Moran Mor Bechara Boutros al-Rahi. Ambassador presented some details on organization of commemorative events dedicated to the 100^th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

Patriarch Bechara Boutros Rahi thanked Armenian church for invitation to visit Armenia next year and expressed His solidarity with Armenian people on the eve of centennial of the Armenian Genocide.

The sides emphasized the high level of existing friendly relations between Armenia and Lebanon as well as important and constructive role of Armenian community of Lebanon in development of the country.

Issues relating to internal political situations and regional development has been also touched upon at the meeting.

Ambassador gifted a book to His Beatitude on the Armenian Genocide.
