The meeting of the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Lebanon Ashot Kocharian with the Minister of Industry of Lebanon Freij Sabounjian.

On July 24, 2013 the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Lebanon Ashot Kocharian met with the Minister of Industry of Lebanon Vrej Sapounjian.

The interlocutors highlighted the issues relating to the development and expansion of bilateral trade relations. Upon the preliminary agreement business forum with participation of both Armenian and Lebanese businessmen in Yerevan would be organized in autumn. Confidence was expressed that the conference with the participation of possible investors, entrepreneurs and businessmen will contribute to the strengthening and further development of the bilateral relations between two friendly countries. It was also emphasized that the operation of the direct flight of MEA Airlines Beirut-Yerevan-Beirut can also contribute to the development of relations in the sphere of tourism and trade, as well as intensification of mutual business visits.

Minister Saboujian promised to examine thoroughly the investment programs and the list of Armenian products, presented by the Ambassador Kocharian, which will certainly help in the selection of the members of the Lebanese delegation. During the meeting the internal situation in Lebanon, regional issues, as well as Armenia-Diaspora cooperation issues have been discussed.
