Ambassador of Armenia to Lebanon Ashot Kocharian met with the Lebanese Minister of Culture Gabby Leyyoun and the Mayor of Beirut Dr. Bilal Hammad

On February 16, 2012 Ambassador of Armenia to Lebanon Ashot Kocharian met with the Lebanese Minister of Culture Gabby Leyyoun and the Mayor of Beirut Dr. Bilal Hammad. Details concerning implementation of bilateral cultural programs as well as co-operation between the sister cities of Yerevan and Beirut have been discussed.

Ambassador Kocharian handed over to the Lebanese counterparts official invitations of the Armenian side to participate in the forthcoming events to be held in Armenia in April dedicated to the 500th anniversary of Armenian printing and Yerevan as the International Book capital celebrations.

Ambassador Kocharian informed the Lebanese officials that Armenia is intending to organize in Lebanon Armenian cultural days in autumn which will contribute to strengthening and deepening of bilateral cultural ties. The possibility of organization of the Armenian annual musical festival in Lebanon has also been discussed.
