Armenian community plays an important role in Lebanon’s political life

- Armenian community plays an important role in political, social-economic and cultural life of Lebanon, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of Lebanon Dr. Adnan Mansour said on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at the meeting with Ambassador of Armenia to Lebanon Ashot Kocharyan.

The sides discussed issues on bilateral cooperation and perspectives of its development.

Parties stressed the importance of intensification of high-ranking visits, deepening cooperation in international organizations as well as development of trade-economic relations.

On Wednesday, November 2, 2011, Ambassador of Armenia met with the Minister of Industry of Lebanon Vrezh Sapunjyan. Perspectives of development of bilateral trade-economic relations have been discussed. The sides stressed the importance of organization of business forums, mutual visits of businessmen as well as close cooperation between the two Chambers of Commerce. The Ambassador of Armenia presented Armenia’s economic developments and its priorities, as well as investment possibilities. Minister Sapunjyan expressed his readiness to support all initiatives relating to development of trade and economic relations between two friendly countries.
