Poetry reading evening dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia

On October 16, 2011 a poetry reading evening dedicated to the 20^th anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia was held at the “Hakob Der Melkonian” theater of Burj Hammoud. The evening was organized under the patronage of the Embassy of Armenia in Lebanon.

Mrs. Ani Sarafian-Ypremian presented verses of Armenian poets Silva Kaputikian, Aramayis Sahakian and Shahandoukht. There was a violin music performed and the sliding photo-show on Armenia screened during the evening.

At the end of the function Ambassador of Republic of Armenia Ashot Kocharian congratulated Mrs. Ani Sarafian-Ypremian for her professional performance. He emphasized the importance of the events organized in many countries of the world dedicated to the 20^th anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia which is the manifestation of the unity and strength of the Armenian people.

The evening has been concluded by the speech delivered by the Archbishop Gegham Khacherian, the Prelate of the Lebanon Prelacy.
