Reception dedicated to foundation of Lebanon-Armenia Friendship Association.

The Embassy of Armenia hosted the reception dedicated to foundation of Lebanon-Armenia Friendship Association.

In his welcoming speech Ambassador Ashot Kocharian spoke about Armenian-Lebanese friendly relations, attraction of doing business in Armenia, key principles of investment policy, an important role of Armenian community in development and expansion of bilateral relations. He expressed his conviction that a newly established association thanks to its President, a famous businessman Pier Fattouch, and founding members will greatly contribute to intensification of bilateral ties particularly in areas of trade, commerce, tourism and promotion of investments.

In his statement the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture of Beirut and Mountainous Lebanon Mohammad Chocair welcomed the establishment of Association stressed an important role of Armenian community and assured that the Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture of Beirut and Mountainous Lebanon will be always supportive to the activities of LAFA.

The President of LAFA Pierre Fattouch kindly appreciated traditionally friendly relations between Armenia and Lebanon, diligence and devotion of Armenian people all over the world, expressed his gratitude to the Embassy of Armenia for support and close co-operation.

He emphasized that the activities of LAFA will meet expectations and will contribute to developing and expansion of bilateral relations on the areas of trade, tourism, cultural and education.

Among the guests were the ministers, members of parliament, foreign ambassadors, officials from the Government, leaders of religious and political organizations, guests from Zahle, Ainjar, mass media.
