19th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia

On September 27, 2010 the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to Lebanon organized an official reception at the Bristol Hotel dedicated to the 19th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia. The representative of the President of Lebanon and the President of the National Assembly of Lebanon H.E. Mr. Hakop Bagratuni, representative of PM Saad Hariri H.E. Mohammed Kabani, officials from the Government and MFA, members of Parliament, mayor of Beirut, high level military officials, religious leaders, ambassadors and diplomats accredited to Lebanon, representatives from NGO-s, scientific, educational and cultural circles, all structures of Armenian community in Lebanon, well known businessmen, mass media.

Ambassador of Armenia to Lebanon Ashot Kocharian in his welcoming speech spoke about challenges and achievements registered during the years of Independence of Armenia, Lebanese- Armenian traditionally friendly relations, also emphasized the important role of Armenian community in the context of deepening of Armenia-Lebanon partnership.

On the occasion of the Independence Day Ambassador Ashot Kocharian gave interviews to Review du Liban, Monday Morning magazines, the LBC, Vana Dzayn and Radio Sevan radio stations. Independence day message of the Ambassador was published in Armenian newspapers.The Embassy received congratulations from different political parties, officials and

individuals. During the meeting held on September 21, 2010 His Holiness Aram I Catholicos of Cilicia convey his warm congratulations to Ambassador on the occasion of the Independence Day of Armenia.
