On November 5, 2015, under the patronage of Assyrian Maronite Church Patriarchate of Antioch and the Patriarch of Maronite Church of Antioch and All the East Bechara Boutros Rahi inauguration of a Cross-stone dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and Pan-Christian gathering took place in the Patriarchate of Maronite Church, Bkerke.

Ambassador of Armenia to Lebanon, religious leaders, Ministers and MPs, senior military officials, Papal Nuncio in Lebanon, clergymen, leaders and representatives of political parties, intellectuals and representatives of Armenian community were present at the ceremony.

Religious leaders, intellectuals and members of Boudakian foundation delivered their speeches. Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia His Holiness Aram I addressed the attendees. In his speech he stressed that the Cross-stone symbolizes history of the Armenian nation, its will and victory. Catholicos highlighted the importance of the erection of the Cross stone in this historical venue and expressed his gratitude to the Patriarchate of Maronite Church for an unprecedented event.

Patriarch of the Maronite Church of Antioch His Beatitude Bechara Boutros Rahi emphasized that Armenian people are well known in Lebanon as devoted citizens who spare no efforts in achieving better life and prosperity of Lebanon.
