Inauguration of a memorial dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide in Haigazian University

On October 10, 2015, the inauguration of a memorial with the image of forget me not flower, symbol of the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide, took place in the garden of Haigazian University of Beirut (author of the memorial Lena Kelekian). The event was initiated by the ”Women association of patriotic unions” of Lebanon in partnership with Haigazian University and under the sponsorship of the Armenian Genocide Centenary Commemoration Central Committee of Lebanon.

President of Haigazian University Rev. Dr. Paul Haidostian, chair of the Armenian Genocide Centenary Commemoration Central Committee of Lebanon Seda Hadeshian and the president of the “Women association of patriotic unions” Maro Balabanian addressed the audience. Afterwards musical works were performed in the garden of Haigazian.

Ambassador of Armenia to Lebanon Ashot Kocharian, religious leaders, MP’s of Lebanon, leaders and representatives of political parties, national organizations and media were present at the event.
