Meeting with the Lebanese Prime Minister Tammam Salam

On March 3,2014 Ambassador of Armenia in Lebanon Ashot Kocharian had a meeting with the Lebanese Prime Minister Tamam Salam. Ambassador Kocharian extended warm congratulations of the Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan on the formation of the new Government.
During the meeting the sides discussed issues relating to the agenda of Lebanese-Armenian friendly relations, perspectives of expansion of co-operation particularly in the field of trade and commerce and tourism. Emphasizing the high level of existing political relations the sides mentioned the importance of continuity of exchange of visits on the level of high-level delegations, organization of business meetings and conferences.
A positive role of Armenian community in Lebanon in the development of the country was mentioned. Ambassador of Armenia and the Lebanese PM touched upon also the issues relating to the political situation in Lebanon.
