Ambassador Kocharian’s meeting with the Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Lebanon

On February 12, 2013 the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia in Lebanon Ashot Kocharian met with the Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Lebanon Fadi Abboud. The sides emphasized that the mutual visits of the Presidents of Armenia and Lebanon which took place during the last two years gave a new impetus to the development and expansion of bilateral relations. It was mentioned that it is necessary to use all the opportunities to promote mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation especially in the sphere of the tourism. The possibility of organizing the Armenian-Lebanese international music festival in the Armenian populated town Anjar was also discussed. Mechanisms of participation as well as coordination activities have been outlined. Minister Fadi Abboud expressed his willingness to provide all possible support for the organization of the festival. The sides highly appreciated bilateral political and cultural relations and expressed their confidence that the festival would greatly contribute to strengthening and deepening of the Armenian-Lebanese friendship.
