Celebrations dedicated to the 95^th anniversary of the Musa Dagh heroic battle and the 70^th anniversary of foundation of Anjar

Catholicos Aram the 1st, the delegations headed by the President of Nagorno Karabagh Bako Sahakyan and the Minister of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia Mrs. Hranoush Hakobyan, the staff of the Embassy of Armenia in Lebanon headed by the Ambassador Ashot Kocharian, ARF Burro representative Hrant Markarian, Lebanese MP-s Hagop Pakraduni and Artur Nazarian, official guests and representatives of different associations and unions from different countries participated in celebrations dedicated to the 95^th anniversary of the Musa Dagh heroic battle and the 70^th anniversary of foundation of Anjar.

During the main function the Minister of Diaspora delivered the message of the President of the Republic of Armenia H.E. Mr. Serzh Sargsyan. The President of Nagorno Karabagh in his speech congratulated the people of Anjar and all invitees with historical events celebrated in small Armenian village.

The Minister of Diaspora handed over awards and medals of the Ministry to different organizations and individuals of Anjar for their devotion and outstanding contribution to development of the village and preservation of rich educational spiritual and cultural traditions of Armenian people. His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, the President of Nagorno Karabagh, the Minister of Diaspora, the Ambassador of Armenia, ARF Burro representative Hrant Markarian, Lebanese MP-s Hagop Pakraduni and Artur Nazarian as well as all invitees attended the ceremony of inauguration of memorial of Admiral Dartige De Fournet and exhibition dedicated to the victims of the Musa Dagh Heroic Battle. They paid their tribute and laid wreaths and flowers to the Mousa Daghian Martyrs’ Monument.

The President of Nagorno Karabagh Bako Sahakyan in the framework of his working visit to Lebanon, visited the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia, Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia, Armenian Catholic Patriarchate, Union of Armenian Evangelical Churches in the Near East, had meetings with Armenian religious and political leaders, representatives of A.G.B.U, “Hayastan” All Armenian fund, LOKH Relief cross organization, Artsakh fund and mass media.
